Date: January 10th, 2012
Duration: 1h:20m:53s

It’s rare to be on the wrong side of a 17-0 run and still win the game by 24, but the Lady Tigers managed to do just that by dominating the second half of play after blowing a big lead.

Queensborough dominated the first fourteen minutes of play, including runs of 8-0 and 12-0. A Jaclyn Torres three-pointer made it 25-8 with 5:40 remaining in the first, but QCC wouldn’t score until after halftime. Suffolk County CC scored the final 12 points of the half, and went into halftime only down five, despite being severely outplayed. Suffolk scored the first five points of the second half to tie the game at 25, as QCC’s scoreless spell continued three and a half minutes into the half, until Precious Latham gave the Lady Tigers the lead. Suffolk had expended all its energy to tie the game and watched QCC go on a 30-6 run for the rest of the game.

Sabrina Rodriguez dominated the offense with 16 points and 5 assists, while baffling Suffolk’s offense with eight steals. Latasha Harris posted a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds.
