Men's Basketball defeats another Top 10 team

Queensborough men’s basketball defeated Sullivan CC, 76-71 on Saturday. Sullivan is currently ranked 6th in the nation in the NJCAA Division III Men’s Basketball rankings. The Tigers were led by freshman Keison McIntosh with 20 points, including 6 for 11 from 3-point range. Sophomore Joshua Williams contributed 12 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists, while sophomore Brandon Segar also contributed big with 14 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists, and 3 blocks.

Lady Tigers win 2017 District F Championship, Finish #8 in the Nation!

Rochester, MN - Jamestown CC (NY) defeats Queensborough CC 3-0. Jamestown claims #7 ranking, QCC claims #8 ranking in the nation. QCC finishes the season with an overall record of 22-7 with back-to-back District F Championship Titles.

2017-18 Season off to a strong start!

Queensborough Men's Basketball defeated Nassau CC, 80-70 last night in their season opener. Nassau is currently ranked 4<sup>th</sup> in the nation in the NJCAA Division III Men's Basketball rankings. The Tigers were led by freshman Keison McIntosh with 29 points on 10 of 14 shooting, including 8 for12 from 3-point range. Sophomore Joshua Williams contributed 23 points and 10 assists, while sophomore Brandon Segar just missed a triple-double with 14 points, 14 rebounds, and 8 assists.

    Keison McIntosh averaged 25.5 points per contest and buried 13 three-pointers. He went off for 31 points in an 84-72 win at Monroe and followed that up with a 20-point effort in a 76-71 victory over Sullivan as QCC went 2-0 during the week.

    The City University of New York Athletic Conference and University Student Senate announced its Community College All-Star men's soccer honorees for the 2017 season, as selected by a polling of the league's coaches. MF - Algor Gervais, MF - Robinson Munoz, MF - Andrew Sepulveda, MF - Golib Husanov, D - Terron Sylvester, D - Kaka Coulibaly named 2017 CUNYAC/USS Community College Men's Soccer All-Stars. Jose Ramirez, named to the Sportsmanship Team.

Male Athlete of the Month

Keison McIntosh, Athlete of the Month for November 2017

Keison McIntosh is the Queensborough Student Athlete of the Month for November. He has led the Men's basketball team to a very impressive start, including two wins against nationally ranked teams. He has led the team in scoring, averaging 19.6 point per game in the month. He also has been ranked as high as six in the nation in three pointers made. On 11/7, Keison finished 8-12 from beyond the arc in an upset against #4 in the country, Nassau Community College. While on 11/18, he helped knock off another nationally ranked team in Sullivan Community College, where he recorded an additional six three's off eleven attempts. Keison looks to keep the Tiger's hot start going as they continue regional and CUNYAC play into the mid season break.

Female Athlete of the Month

Anabel Hernandez, Athlete of the Month for November 2017

Anabel Hernandez is the Queensborough Student Athlete of the Month for November. For the second straight year, she finished as the Tiger's top runner. She finished with the teams best time at the CUNYAC Championship among 4 year schools with a time of 32:54. While she would crush her personal best times at the NJCAA national championship and finished with a time of 25:05. The time was both a personal and team best and allowed her to finish among the top 100 runners in the country.
