ANNOUNCEMENT Module 1 Opens 9-6-21 REMEMBER to read the ANNOUNCEMENTS documents each time you enter the course!!! Welcome! Prepare for one heck of an experience. Intense and rapid!! 14 weeks of work and thinking, thinking , thinking. Are you ready! Fun, work, opportunities, work, rewards, work. 9 to 12 hours of work per week! Patients' Rights**Informed Consent**Privacy**Experimentation**Partial Birth Abortion**Cloning**Physician Assisted Suicide**Infanticide**Allocation of Resources**Right to Health Care** & Other Topics!!! SCHEDULE : The course consists of 14 Modules. They open and then close after 7 days in Fall and Spring semesters (exception Module 2 on Ethics). It is incredibly intense. You must work in Discussions at least three days in each and every module. Written assignments in each module. Case studies in modules 7 to 14!! GRADES will be posted within 3 days of the close of each module. CONTACT INFORMATION: Communicating with the Professor: One of the features of distance education is that you are never required to meet face to face with the professor. Some specific areas of assistance include: · Working with you to help generate ideas for your writing· Discussing strategies for organization, development, and final review of your work· Access to Gateway and Mac computers, MS Word, and the Internet· Access to a variety of handouts covering various grammatical and documentation concerns· Helping with writing projects outside of school such as resumesAll You Do: · Walk in any time during Writing Center hours and sign in. Often there is no waiting to see a tutor. (Thirty-minute appointments are available if you do not want to risk a wait. Please call ahead for appointments.)· Work alone or with a tutor· Actively discuss your writing if you choose to work with a tutor· Realize that your piece of writing and the ideas that make up your writing are valuable no matter where you are in the writing process. We can work with you to develop your writing to its fullest potential.· Bring a zip disc for the Mac computers or a regular disc for the Gateways. (Regular discs are available for $1.00) You can type your papers, print them out, and discuss them with tutors all in the same place.· Make the Writing Center your habit for the semester!
