QueensZine is an online showcase for creative and academic work by Queensborough Community College students, faculty, administrators, staff and alumni. Published every Fall, each issue of QueensZine features work from the previous academic year.
Editorial Board:
Wolstan Brown has a background in physics and engineering and teaches computer languages and applications in the Business Department.
Beth Counihan (Editor-in-Chief) is an Assistant Professor in the English Department, teaching composition and literature. She earned her PhD from the CUNY Graduate Center in 2005.
Megan Elias is Assistant Professor of U.S. History at Queensborough. She earned her PhD from the CUNY Graduate Center in 2003.
Laura Freedgood is an Assistant Professor in the Basic Educational Skills Department, where she teaches writing to ESL students. She received an MA in English from Indiana University, and a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from Boston University. She writes and publishes poetry
Susan Jacobowitz is an Assistant Professor in the English Department. She received her Ph.D. from Brandeis University and an MFA in Creative Writing from Mills College.
Technical Staff:
Darnel Degand is a multimedia designer in the Academic Computing Center. He earned his B.S.E. from the University of Pennsylvania, M.S. from New York University, and is currently pursuing his Ed.D. at Teachers College, Columbia University.
Raj Vaswani is an IT Associate and works for the Academic Computing Center as a web developer. His web specialties lie in asp, asp.net and database administration |
