From the early to mid 1990's a plethora of harmony groups emerged but only few survived: Dubbed the "Dukes of R&B" All-4-One's hit I Swear won a Grammy Award in 1995 for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group and enjoyed an eleven-week run at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 list. The song has been named by ASCAP as one of the greatest love songs of the 20th Century. With their unique sound they went on to make more chart-topping hits that include I Can Love You Like That, She's Got Skillz, Beautiful As U and Someday (the title single from the Disney animated feature The Hunchback of Notre Dame).
Discovered first by Jon Bon Jovi and then mentored by Robert "Kool" Bell of Kool & The Gang, Color Me Badd dominated the pop charts in 1990 with their hit I Wanna Sex You Up which became the anthem of the summer of 1991 and their all-time most recognized song. Their debut album C.M.B. produced several hits for the group including All 4 Love and I Adore Mi Amor (both #1 in the U.S.). Let's go back on time to when cable and the internet was brand new and boy bands were all the rage!
