Procedures for Snow/Emergency Closings

If Queensborough Community College must close in the event of snow or other emergencies, an announcement will be posted on this page.

Additionally, a telephone message will indicate the closing (718-631-6262), and members of the College community may tune in to the following radio stations for more information:

WCBS

880 AM

Vice Presidents and Deans will also notify academic Chairpersons and Directors who will then alert staff within their respective departments.  All departments are encouraged to organize a telephone chain or program their voice mail and automated attendant to make their notifications.

Following these procedures will ensure notification of an emergency in a timely manner.
