Mr. Mark Chropufka is the Director of Queensborough’s Academic Computing Center, which including the department of Media Services, supports the College’s auditorium/classroom technology infrastructure and provides audio-visual solutions for campus special events and presentations. Further, Mr. Chropufka is a liaison to Finance and Administration in his oversight of the Student Technology Fee budget. As a liaison, Mark provides innovative and timely technological solutions to facilitate student instruction and develops standards for academic technology deployment.
In addition to his over 25 years of academic technology experience, Mr. Chropufka earned a B.S. in Management from Binghamton University, an M.B.A. from St. John’s University and holds Project Management Professional (PMP) and ITIL certifications. Arriving at Queensborough in 2012, Mark successfully implemented a classroom technology refresh cycle replacing outdated teaching equipment with newer, more functional podia.
