My experience over these last two semesters has been fascinating and full of academic enrichment. Honors courses and scientific research have expanded and opened opportunities that will utterly serve for the fulfillment of the career I pursue. The determination and dedication that my mentors instilled in me have transformed my character and personal life and are the stepping stone that will materialize my personal goals. I am sure that transferring to another school and ultimately reaching my career goals will represent a great challenge. Nonetheless, thanks to my mentor, Dr. Regina Sullivan of the Department of Biological Sciences and Geology, the Honors classes and research I conducted during my time at Queensborough Community College I know that I can overcome any obstacle and difficulty that is ahead of me. I was happy to complete Honors General Chemistry I and II and Biology I and II and have won an award at the 2015 ABRCMS Biology Conference.
