Dance Residency Concert at the Queensborough Performing Arts Center

Published: May 02, 2016

QUEENSBOROUGH’S ANNUAL DANCE RESIDENCY PROGRAM WILL FEATURE THE CHOREOGRAPHY OF MARJANI FORTÈ-SAUNDERS AT THE QUEENSBOROUGH PERFORMING ARTS CENTER ON MAY 6 AT 8:00 P.M.

Marjani Fortè-Saunders being Here…/this time is a visceral, multimedia work driven by deeply physical performances and heightened by a three-dimensional audio design. Choreographer Marjani Forté-Saunders and her dancers traverse complex intersections of mental illness, addiction and systemic poverty. Students from Queensborough Community College will perform part one of this trilogy, Here, and Marjani Forté & Works will perform being Here…/this time which travels through time, space and the imagination of its creator to burrow through the real-world madness of systemic degradation.
