
The mission of this center is to provide programs and resources in order to remember the victims and the lives of their families,to educate the generations to
come about the ramification of prejudice, racism, anti-Semitism and stereotyping in any society, and to encourage an awareness of the value of diversity in a pluralistic society.

Rabbi Dr. Serels currently serves as the rabbi of the Magen David Sephardic Congregation in Scarsdale, New York and is a professor of liberal arts at Berkeley College, Westchester Campus. He has served as the Director of the Sephardic Community Programs at Yeshiva University for more than 26 years. As author of a number of books that include Del Fuego: Sephardim and the Holocaust. He has lectured internationally and was knighted by King Juan Carlos I of Spain, the first Sephardic Rabbi so honored in 500 years.
