Instructions for WebDrive

PUT IN A FILE

  1. Click the Start button of your computer
  2. Click My Computer
  3. Open Webdrive by double click
  4. You will see a list of departments. Locate the department that you are in double click
  5. Locate your name in the list double click
  6. You will see folders - a list of departments or individuals with whom you have agreed to share files. Locate the name of the department or the individual to whom you want to give access to your file
  7. Resize the webdrive window if necessary so that it fills less than 100% of the screen
  8. Locate the file to which you want a person or department to have access either on the desktop or through the start button
  9. Drag and drop the file into the window of webdrive -> your department -> your name -> the department or person to which you want the file to be made available
  10. Exit webdrive
  11. Notify the individual or department by QCC e-mail or phone that you have placed a file in webdrive to be retrieved by that individual or department

TAKE OUT A FILE

If you have been notified that a file has been placed into webdrive encryption

  1. Click the Start button of your computer
  2. Click My Computer
  3. Open Webdrive by double click
  4. Locate the department of the person who gave you access to the file double click
  5. Locate the name of the individual who gave you access to the file double click
  6. Locate your name double click
  7. You can view the file while it is in webdrive, You cannot alter the file. If you need to work with the file you need to drag and drop it to your computer
