Abraham and Clara Miles listen to her personal story

My Family Which Vanished and my Present Family

I, Abraham Miles, I am very proud of my children and grandchildren. Our parents never had a chance to get to know my family.

My Dear Mother Szprirca, at 40; my Dear Father Leizer, at 42; my Dear Sister Rachel at 14 and my Dear Sister Chana at 12 were let in to Camp Auschwitz. So was I. I was the only one that came out alive from that “Hell” at 21. This was the worst time of my life.

I, Clara Miles, would have never left my Dear Mother Fela and my Dear Father Elia, my Dear Brothers Jacob and Michael, to work for the Germans. I was told I I work for the Germans, they will be safe. I never had a chance to say goodbye.

That’s all that I have left from my past are these precious photos that were sent to me by my Aunt from London, England after the War in 1945.

My Father was only 37 years young.

My Mother was only 24 years young.

My Brother Jacob was only 15 years young.

My Brother Michael was only 6 years young.

We, Clara and Abraham Miles, were married May 6, 1946.
