
Queensborough Community College is offering a scholarship to current high school seniors who are interested in pursuing degrees in the Electrical Engineering Technology or Laser and Fiber Optics Engineering Technology.
The Scholarship Program provides $6,000 per year, which can be used in addition to, other current scholarships or financial aid for any educational and living expenses.
This competition is only open to United States citizens or permanent residents only.

A completed Application form (PDF).

A 300-word personal statement describing your career goals in the field of engineering technology, your specific area of interest, and your plan for the achievement of these goals.

A summary or list of accomplishments in high school, extra-curricular activities and outside experiences (include dates).

Your official high school transcript, in a sealed envelope addressed from your high school.

Two letters of recommendation from a current high school teacher or high school counselor.
Eligibility Criteria:

Candidate must be a United States citizen or permanent resident.

Candidate must enroll as a full-time student in the Electrical Engineering Technology or Laser and Fiber Optics Engineering Technology Scholarship Program.

Candidate must have a high school average of B or higher.

Candidate must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher while pursuing their Associates Degree at Queensborough Community College.

Candidate must have completed all remediation requirements by September 1st, 2008
