International Students

International students holding the F-1 immigration status must contact the Office of International Student Services within 15 days of transferring to Queensborough in order to receive a new I-20. Failure to do so can lead to a loss of your immigration status. Call 718-631-6611 or visit the Office of International Student Services in the Library, Room 431.

NEW YORK STATE HEALTH REQUIREMENTS

IMPORTANT REMINDER: ALL TRANSFER STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED BY NEW YORK STATE LAW TO SUBMIT DOCUMENTATION FOR MEASLES, MUMPS AND RUBELLA (MMR) TO THE COLLEGE BEFORE THEY MAY REGISTER FOR ANY CLASS. NEW YORK STATE ALSO REQUIRES SUBMISSION OF THE MENINGITIS RESPONSE FORM. For more information, go to www.qcc.cuny.edu/healthservices.

ACADEMIC ADVISEMENT AND REGISTRATION

Academic advisement is required for all incoming transfer students. Appointments for academic advisement and registration are given to transfer students in two ways:

  1. Transfer students slated for one or more sections of the CUNY Assessment Tests are given appointment dates at the testing session. Appointments usually take place within three weeks of the testing appointment.
  2. Transfer students who do NOT need to take any part of the test will receive an invitation from the Office of New Student Enrollment to an advisement and registration session. It is to YOUR advantage to confirm this appointment as soon as possible. Once we receive your reservation, we will then make the evaluation of your college record(s) a priority for our transfer evaluator.
