Every semester before your stipend is released, you need to come to the College Discovery Office and to certify with your Counselor. You will need to bring in a bill from the Bursar stating that our bill is at $0.00 before you can sign your contract and certify.
Every year around tax time you must file a new FAFSA form, online at www.FAFSA.ed.gov. This form must be filed before June 1st for new students.
You will receive your stipend within a couple of weeks once you certify with the your Counselor, as long as you are in good standing with the office and your bill is paid you should receive your stipend.
If you have excess of money on your account, refunds are usually sent out in November or March.
At the beginning of each semester a postcard will be sent to your home explaining the two options of how to obtain a book voucher or a book check sent to your home. It will be your choice of how you want to get your books. Students with extra money in their financial aid packages will be eligible for a book voucher and book monies, others will have to buy their books with their own money.
