Field Engineer- New York City
Description: The Field Engineer services Health Imaging electronic equipment, laser printers, networks, CR, DR, imaging equipment and hospital radiology equipment. The Field Engineer position involves working the medical imaging field so you will be servicing our customer base primarily in hospitals and imaging centers. This position involves up to 25% travel and will be based in a home office. A company provided vehicle, laptop, and cell phone are included. Benefits include an annual incentive plan and a generous benefits package. Geography to serviced will be: New York City and Long Island • Provides field service support and guidance to customers on Carestream install base. Builds strong, professional customer relationships. • Delivers precise and punctual reporting of paperwork. • Provides Problem Management to ensure the thorough resolution of Customer issues. Follows logical troubleshooting steps, in accordance with approved service procedures, through to problem resolution. • Demonstrates commitment to customer delight and exceeding customer’s expectations. • Works with Sales and Service Sales Specialists to keep up to date with new developments. • Accurately maintains responsibility for parts inventory in line with corporate policy. • Ensures Service call activities are maximized in conjunction with cost control (return visits, same day fix, call duration). • Takes responsibility for communicating effectively with the customer on service call progress. • May be required to participate in Customer afterhours support through remote or on-site support. • Is willing to travel/stay overnight on a limited basis to meet business needs in the District and other teams within US.

Special Skills & Requirements | •Experience diagnosing and independently repairing computer based medical electronic equipment preferred •Strong electromechanical trouble shooting skills needed •Experience with all Windows platforms •Strong verbal and written communication skills •Excellent customer service / communication skills •Proficient in MS Office including Excel •Bachelor's degree (Biomedical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology or similar discipline); or Associates degree with 2 years related work experience; or 4 plus years equivalent related work experience Must have a valid driver's license that is not revoked, suspended or pending revocation or suspension Desired Skills / Experience: • Experience with medical x-ray equipment strongly desired, particularly with digital radiology. • Ditec / RSTI or military equivalent x-ray trained desired Essential Functions: • The job involve repetitive motion tasks (hands, arms, bending, twisting) • The job requires associate to do a significant amount of walking, climbing stairs. • The associate will be required to lift more than 75 lbs. |
