Customer Service/Inside Sales

Description: • Ensure incoming/outgoing customer calls are handled with highest standards of positive professionalism and responsiveness • Ensure that all company guidelines are maintained in each customer interaction with respect to professionalism, answering customer's questions, correct product selection and delivery, pricing, repeat business, etc. • Resolve customer disputes to mutual agreement (i.e.: missing items, damaged goods, incorrect material) • Ensure customer calls and emails are returned within established parameters and protocol • Responsible for timely follow through on quotes given • Ensure a customer focused mindset • Proactively communicate with management • Accurately consult with/advice customers, take customer orders over the phone, online and in person • Ensure that the order is entered properly into our computer system • Review, revise and correct any orders that require it • Ensure the accurate and proper paper flow in order to fulfill the order in a timely manner • Ensure that commitments made with customers are met. If it is apparent that we can’t honor the commitment, discuss appropriate action with management • Evaluate and report to management on daily workload • Answer customers questions regarding delivery of product • Facilitate timely preparation and submission of quotes to customers • Ensure targeted and timely follow up calls are made with objective closing the sale • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of entering customer database records • Exercise discretion and independent judgement when researching pricing, quality, quantity and availability of stock and custom hardwood inventory items before ultimately making the purchase. • Ensure new accounts are established with a focus on accuracy and timeliness • Ensure that the appropriate paperwork from new customers and/or vendors is completed • Ensure filing and scanning is timely and accurate • Assist outside sales team members with orders, stock information etc. • Additional administrative duties as assigned • Additional duties as required • As necessary, you will be required to work varying shifts as staffing needs require

Special Skills & Requirements • Proficient in Microsoft Office • Ability to collect, interpret, and/or analyze complex data and information • Critical thinking and creative problem solving skills combined with sound judgment • Strong integrity, ethics and emotional control • Proven written communication skills • Proven ability to communicate tactfully regardless of the circumstances at all levels • Proven ability to be persistent yet flexible • Able to sit/stand at and work on a computer for extended periods • Able to lift 50 pounds and reach/bend to retrieve documents and stock in cabinets and on shelves. • Willing and able to work additional hours as needed to ensure responsibilities are met. • High School or Equivalent, Bachelor’s degree a plus
