VoiceThread is a Blackboard accessible application that facilitates the creation of discussions and other educational experiences using multimedia (text, images, audio, and video). Each VoiceThread allows instructors and students to collaborate in an asynchronous manner using text, audio, or video commentary. For example, instructors may create a VoiceThread that presents information along with guiding questions. Students may then respond to those questions at a time and place that works best for them. When created as a Blackboard assignment, VoiceThread grades are automatically recorded in the Grade Center. During this workshop you will create a VoiceThread Assignment in Blackboard. To get a head start please bring with you a PowerPoint that covers one topic, or a digital copy of your course outline or your syllabus.
