Description:

Quey ["Kway"] Percussion Duo (Gene Koshinski and Tim Broscious) will present a performance-lecture on music from their Spring 2017 tour highlighting their unique combination of classical training with their experience and interest in global and popular music over a wide spectrum of musical aesthetics. In addition to many national and international tours in Argentina, Canada, China, France, and Jordan; QPD has worked with art galleries, conventions and have engaged in more than 30 university residencies. Their composition contests alone have generated more than 170 new works for percussion duo. QPD serves as official Artists in Residence at the University of Minnesota Duluth where they teach chamber music and co- direct a graduate percussion program.
