Black Stars of the Great White Way!

Feb 17, 2013, 3pm - $35- Buy Now

Broadway choral director/arranger Chapman Roberts has created this blockbuster evening of Broadway show stoppers delivered by an all-male cast featuring original cast members of such stellar Broadway hits as Eubie Blake's Eubie, Duke Ellington's Sophisticated Ladies, Fats Waller's Ain't Misbehavin, Leiber and Stoller's Grammy Winner Smokey Joe's Cafe, Dreamgirls and Porgy and Bess. Many of the familiar tunes from these shows including I Got It Bad And That Ain't Good, It Don't Mean A Thing If It Ain't Got That Swing, Minnie the Moocher, Five Guys Named Moe, Is You Is or Is You Ain't My Baby and many more were arranged specifically for Broadway and the original cast albums by Roberts himself. See this star-studded and one of a kind theatrical event prior to its Carnegie Hall and National tour debut!

Chapman Roberts and Tony award nominee and Broadway's "PORGY", Norm Lewis, celebrate the unveiling of Norm's caricature at Sardi's - the legendary theatrical and show biz restaurant at Shubert Alley right off Times Square. Norm and Chapman are looking forward to meeting you on February 17, 2013 when Norm will perform show stoppers from Porgy and Bess, Les Miz and his favorites from the Steven Sondheim songbook.
