KHC Cinema Series: Good Evening Mr. Wallenberg Wednesday, April 25th 12:10-2:00pm Raoul Wallenberg was a small-scale businessman from Sweden, whose life was transformed after he witnessed bodies being thrown from a train on its way to Auschwitz. With the support of the Swedish Embassy, he consequently moved to Budapest in late 1944 to help protect Jews from Adolph Eichmann's Sonderkommando. By issuing passports and intimidating German officials, he succeeded in helping hundreds of Jews either flee from Budapest or get placed in protective housing. Released in 1990, 115 minutes
