Introduction to the Research Foundation of CUNY Office of Award Pre-Proposal Support and Grant Writing Workshop Bringing you the best of both worlds, Dr. John Tsapogas, former National Science Foundation Program Director for Global Initiatives and Director of the Office of Award Pre-Proposal Support (APPS) at the Research Foundation of The City University of New York will be hosting an informative workshop for Queensborough Community College faculty. Dr. Tsapogas has served on many national and international committees including research and instrumentation panels at the National Science Foundation and has been an NSF program officer on NSF awards for more than thirty years. . APPS introduction, mission, and peer review program . Overview of the NSF's grant-making process, merit review criteria, and tips and tricks to crafting a competitive NSF proposal . Resources available to faculty and students to facilitate writing proposals successfully .
