Description:

Speech Club Sponsors-Give The Gift of Sight Drive from April 15, 2017 through May 15, 2017 What a wonderful way to bring the Gift of Sight to someone in need. If you wear eyeglasses, recall just for a moment how crisp and clear life appears when you put on a new pair of eyeglasses. Did you ever notice in ads featuring disadvantaged people in developing nations, you seldom see faces wearing eyeglasses? Well, without The Gift of Sight Program, many people might never experience the joy of seeing the world, even their loved ones' faces, with clarity. In Partnership with Lenscrafters, QCC's Speech Club is sponsoring an eyeglass drive from April 15, 2017 to May 15, 2017. You can help by donating your used eyeglasses. And, since many people keep "a spare pair" in their desk or dresser drawer, please remember to ask your friends and family to donate as well. Once received, the eyeglasses will be cleaned and categorized according to prescription. They will then be distributed to needy individuals, both locally and internationally, as part of Lenscrafters Global Missions Initiative. We would sincerely appreciate your help in the Campaign. Please bring your used eyewear (including prescription sunglasses) to the silver donation boxes around campus. Silver Collection Boxes are located as follows: ASAP Office-W Building, W-110 Speech Department-Humanities Building, Room H-125 For More Information contact the Speech Club Advisor: Elaine Thompson: ethompson@qcc.cuny.edu Co-Sponsors: ASAP Club, Mock Trial Association, Visual and Performing Arts Academy (VAPA)
