Single Stop and the Food Bank for New York City (FBNYC) have partnered to provide free tax preparation to students and their immediate family members of households earning less than $54,000. Certified tax professionals are on site Monday through Thursday. Walk-Ins welcomed. Drop-off service is available. For faster service, create a Single Stop profile using the link below BEFORE coming in for Tax Prep: **Be sure to state "TAX PREP" in the comment section before submitting your profile. 

Please read below for dates, time, location and what to bring:

Date: February 6th - April 18th

Time: Monday: 10:30am - 5:30pm
Tuesday: 9:30am - 5:30pm
Wednesday: 9:30am - 5:30pm
Thursday: 9:30am - 5:30pm

Date: Saturday, March 11th

Time: 10:00am - 2:00pm

No Services on: Thursday, March 30th
Thursday, April 6th

*Only households that earned less than $54,000 are eligible*

Photo ID and Social Security cards for everyone to be listed on return including the person filing
Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers (ITIN) for Foreign Students
W-2 forms for each job you held in 2016
No itemized deduction, ONLY standard deduction
If self-employed (paid in cash or personal checks), you must know total earnings made for the year
Any other tax-related documentation you have received (i.e. 1099)
Form 1098T (tuition paid out of pocket)
If married and filing jointly, spouse must be present
If claiming childcare expenses, documentation & provider's tax ID
If you prefer direct deposit, routing and account number needed

New: If you purchased health insurance through the marketplace, bring from 1095-A and dependents' proof of income (if applicable)
