Description:

Earth Day 2017 at QCC will be held in two parts. First, using a PowerPoint developed by Al Gore, Dan Hanson and Monica Weiss will demonstrate the science behind climate change, the effects of climate change around the world, and showcase alternative sources of energy available to us. Following, students, faculty, staff and clubs will present earth day related posters, demonstrations and even live animals to the public.

Monica Weiss is a retired NYC public school teacher. Monica is a graduate of Queens College with a Masters Degree in Environmental Education. She attended Al Gore's Climate Reality Training in Miami in 2015. Dan Hanson is a retired law librarian. Dan is a graduate of York College and has a Masters in Library Science from St. John's University. He attended Al Gore's Climate Reality Training in Miami in 2015.
