Rosie Perez has persevered and overcome incredible obstacles to become the person we admire today - an iconic performer, actress, activist and survivor. She inspires all of us to reach deep within ourselves for the strength, courage, and spirit to persevere through life's difficult challenges. Students in Ilene Goldsman's English Composition II class will share stories and poems of individuals who have inspired them in their lives and will perform "Get On Your Feet", by Gloria Estefan, which they feel encapsulates the theme of perseverance.
