Dubbed “the last leading man” by The New York Times, 2 Time Tony Award-winner Brian Stokes Mitchell has enjoyed a career that spans Broadway, television, film and concert appearances with the country’s finest conductors and orchestras. For his star turn in Kiss Me Kate, he received a Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle award. Tony-nominated performances include Man of La Mancha, August Wilson’s King Hedley II, and Ragtime. Most recently, he was seen starring with Audra McDonald in Shuffle Along. Backed by a live band, join us for an afternoon of glorious song, from a nearly three-decade career on Broadway, including selections filled with hope, humanity and joy from his upcoming album, Plays With Music.
