Stefan Arteni is a painter, printmaker, calligrapher, and book artist. Born in Bucharest, educated in Rome, and now working in New York, Arteni considers him self a product of the "borderland." Drawing from broad crosscurrents of culture and history, his art pursues the resonance and meaning found through explorations of form.
