The QCC Art Gallery invites you to Meet the Curator of SHANGAA: Art of Tanzania!

Dr. Gary van Wyk will be presenting seven comprehensive curatorial walkthroughs of SHANGAA: Art of Tanzania.

The six walkthroughs are broken down into groupings; four tours will accommodate to general audiences, and two for professionals and audiences with specialized knowledge of African Art.

General tour:

Courtesy bus to the exhibition; walkthrough tour with the curator of the exhibition, Dr. Gary van Wyk; reception.

QCC Art Gallery is providing a special tour and reception for African Art enthusiasts. A courtesy bus will await visitors in Manhattan between 2:00-2:30PM at the eastbound bus stop near the corner of 79th Street and Madison Avenue in Manhattan. The bus will depart Manhattan promptly at 2:30PM, arriving at QCC Art Gallery at approximately 3PM for a walkthrough tour with the curator, Dr. Gary van Wyk.  A reception with refreshments will follow the tour, and the courtesy bus will depart for the return trip to Manhattan at 5 PM.

The accompanying book (342 pages, including several scholarly essays) can be purchased in person at QCC Art Gallery or ordered online in the Gallery Gift Store.
