Judith Zeichner studied art at the University of Cincinnati, New York University, City College of New York and the Art Students League. She teaches drawing and painting at Nassau Community College, Queensborough Community College and at the University of Hawaii in Hilo, where she resides part time.

In 2008 her painting won a first prize in the East Hawaii Museum of Contemporary Art juried competition. She has had numerous solo shows in New York, and her paintings are included in private collections in the United States and abroad.
