Educational Programs

Reflecting the full range of ethnic diversity of both the College and community, the Gallery presents quality exhibits and publications of local, national, international, and historical interest, thus broadening the appreciation and understanding of art and artist-as-interpreter.

School Tours

Public and private school kindergarten through 12th grade educators and their students are invited to visit the QCC Art Gallery's Permanent Collection and special exhibitions.  Tours are individually arranged to address curricular themes and learning standards.  Single visits or multiple visits such as the three-part QCC Classroom Connection program can be scheduled.  School tours are offered Monday through Wednesday by appointment only.  Guided tours require one chaperone for every ten children.

QCC Classroom Connection

In collaboration with the school, the Gallery will create a unique series of offsite visits culminating in a guided gallery tour.  The offsite visits will focus on the Gallery's Permanent Collection or current exhibition.  A teaching artist will begin with a lively discussion using slides or other visual materials, followed by a hands-on art activity.  When possible, an artist from the current exhibition will lead these visits.
