A Constructive Conversation concerning Online Course Management
Description :   A Workshop or Session  for Faculty teaching fully or partially online classes. It will be a Constructive Conversation concerning Online Course Management and will cover: Managing the Workload, Interactions with Learners, Engaging the Learners, How to connect with students who disappear, Managing Discussion Boards, Preparing for Course Assessments, Preparing for Course Revisions. If you have online classroom concerns and challenges you’d like to discuss, please bring them to the workshop.

Who should attend: Those who teach fully or partly online classes.

Introduction to Clickers
Description : Clickers are a high tech, minimal time investment technology. They are a highly versatile tool and easier to use than you think. They’re perfect for learning about who is in your Academy and giving a voice to each and every student.  In this session you will learn effective strategies for clicker use, and setup and run a clicker system. If you have questions you’d like to use with clickers, please bring them to the workshop.
 
Who should attend: Those who want to use clicker technology in their classroom to gauge student comprehension and to engage their students.

ePortfolios with Epsilen
Description: Learn to set up and use ePortfolios with your classes. This workshop is designed to introduce you to one method of implementing electronic portfolios. During the workshop you will create your own ePortfolio, and begin learning how to work within the Epsilen environment.

Who should attend : Teachers interested in having their students use ePortfolios

Description: During this workshop you will learn to create your own video Micro-Lectures using PowerPoint, Audacity, and Camtasia, a versatile yet easy to learn program. Your Micro-Lectures can then be posted to YouTube or the College Media Server and made available to your students.

Who should attend : Designed for all those using Blackboard, Epsilen, or their own Web site.

Clickers in the Classroom : A Continuing Conversation
Description : In this session you will learn tips for developing effective clicker questions, giving feedback to student responses, associating clickers with individual students and reviewing clicker data after class is over.
The presenters will discuss findings from their recent clicker research and participants are invited to share their own experiences. Have a clicker technique that works with your students? Bring your ideas and questions.
Who should attend: Those who have used or are interested in using clicker technology and want to go beyond basic setup, share experiences and learn about new topics. Repeat attendees are welcome.
