Important Note: The Queensborough workshop series welcomes all CUNY faculty (adjuncts included) with the understanding that if there are more requests than seats, the policy will be that Queensborough faculty will have priority.

Blackboard 6: Beginner [Please Attend Both Sessions] During this workshop you will build your own online course. You will practice creating Web pages and posting text, graphics, animations, audio, video, and PowerPoint to your Blackboard course site.
Fridays: Session (1) Sept 23, and Session (2) Sept 30, 10am-1pm

Captivate: Adding multimedia to your course Learn to use Macromedia Captivate software to enhance your online learning materials. During this workshop you will record and produce a Flash demonstration, and learn how to turn PowerPoint presentations into interactive Flash movies.

Excel Magic This workshop is for those who use Microsoft Excel regularly, but wish they knew some of the time saving, tricks of the trade. Bring your questions and wish list.

Adobe Acrobat and Macromedia Flashpaper Learn to use two alternate methods of preparing your Word documents for uploading to the Web (including your Blackboard Web site).

Impatica for Powerpoint Learn to use this powerful program to convert your PowerPoint files into a compressed format that is optimized for streaming over the Internet. The Impatica file is typically 95% smaller than the PowerPoint HTML files.

Contribute This is an introductory workshop. Learn to use Macromedia Contribute to build and maintain your own Web site.

Flash MX 2004 [Please Attend Both Sessions] In this course you will learn how to use the power of Macromedia Flash to deliver interactive content via the World Wide Web. Topics include: animation and graphics, learning the Flash interface, importing files, and Flash Actionscript basics. Participants will leave with a completed Flash project.
