Clickers in the Classroom: Making lectures more interactive!
Description
: Clickers are a high tech, minimal time investment technology. They are a highly versatile tool and easier to use than you think. They’re perfect for learning about who is in your Academy and giving a voice to each and every student. In this session you will learn effective strategies for clicker use, setup and run a clicker system and leave with clicker questions as well as a personalized flash drive loaded with clicker software. If you have questions you’d like to use with clickers, please bring them to the workshop.
Who should attend: Those who want to use clicker technology in their classroom to gauge student comprehension and to engage their students. When: Wednesday, February 3rd, 1pm-3pm, L-117– Optional extra hands-on time 3pm-4pm |

ePortfolios with Epsilen
Description: Learn to set up and use ePortfolios with your classes. This workshop is designed to introduce you to one method of implementing electronic portfolios. During the workshop you will create your own ePortfolio, and begin learning how to work within the Epsilen environment. Description: – During this workshop you will be introduced to the NEW Microsoft Office 2007 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Who should attend: This is NOT a beginner workshop; rather it is designed for those already using Microsoft Office on a regular basis. IMPORTANT Note: After taking this workshop you become eligible to have Office 2007 installed on your office computer.
