Approximately 30 students who are emerging leaders at QCC will be selected to participate in this wonderful opportunity. This conference is designed to help you develop leadership techniques and strategies, and to learn how to deal with the responsibilities of leadership. This training conference gives you the opportunity to meet with other students in government and clubs, as well as college administrators and professional staff. Through interactive workshops, roundtable discussions, and group projects you will learn leadership skills that will benefit yourself as well as the college by helping you realize your potential to become a great leader.
This year the annual Student Leadership Conference will be held Friday, September 28th through Sunday, September 30th, 2007, at the Montauk Yacht Club Resort in Montauk, New York.
Expenses for the weekend will be paid by a special fund, which is earmarked for this purpose. A $25 refundalbe deposit will be required to reserve your seat. This fee will be returned to you at departure time. Tansportation from QCC to the conference and back to the campus will be provided.
In order to be considered eligible you must be a matriculated student with a 2.0 GPA or better, have completed as least 12 credits, and will be in attendance for the full 2007-2008 academic year. (Note: special exceptions may be made for incoming Freshman with prior leadership experience)
