Queensborough Community College (Bayside, NY) is currently searching for a qualified, part time Head Men’s Soccer Coach. The Head Coach will organize, direct and administer the college’s NJCAA DIII Men’s Soccer Program within the rules and regulations of the NJCAA, Queensborough Community College, the Region XV Athletic Conference and the CUNY Athletic Conference.
Head coaching responsibilities for all aspects of the intercollegiate Men’s Soccer Program include: coaching, recruiting, training, and supervising student-athletes; maintaining athletic equipment, supplies and facilities; advising and assisting student athletes in achieving their academic and athletic goals. Recommending and supervising an Assistant Soccer coach.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:
Educational & Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree Preferred)
- High School / College Coaching Experience or College Athletic Participation
- Must be Certified in CPR & 1st Aid (Refresher Courses Available at QCC)
- Valid NY State Drivers License

- Demonstrate ability to recruit quality student-athletes.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
- Thorough knowledge of and commitment to compliance with NJCAA rules and regulations.
- Commitment to the academic success of student-athletes with emphasis on graduation success.
- Experience in motivating athletes and staff to achieve maximum levels of performance.
- Demonstrated professional behavior.
- Commitment to the vision of QCC Athletic Programs.
