Case-Presentation When people really need to keep some things private even secret how are they to do that when what they want protected is in digital form and stored on computing devices or even transferred by means of such technologies?
Certainly banking must be secure in order to carry on the ever increasing number of transactions conducted each day all over the world. What of other types of information or data?
Philip Zimmerman wrote code for encryption and what he created or something close to it may be used or may have been used by terrorists. Does he bear responsibility for how it is used? Should such encryption tools be made available to any agencies or individuals other than government?
