Registering for a Lecture and a Laboratory Course

• Some courses are made up of two parts called a lecture and a laboratory. If they are not linked (see linked courses) you must enter the 4-digit course code numbers for both the lecture and laboratory.

Here is an example of the way lectures that have separate laboratories will appear in the schedule of classes:

In this example, you could register for the lecture that meets on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:00 AM by entering Course Code # 0287 and you could register for the lab that meets on Mondays at 12 PM by entering Course Code # 0312.

• Some courses are made up of course sections that are linked together. This means if you select one course, you will get all the course sections linked with that one. For example, Learning Community courses are linked, see appendix.

• You only enter one 4-digit Course Code number to get all the linked courses.

LAB & LECTURE ARE LINKED

In this example, you may register for the lecture that meets on Wednesdays & Fridays at 8:00 – 8:55 a.m. and the lab that meets Wednesdays & Fridays at 9:00 – 10:50 a.m. by entering one Course Code # 0361. You will get both the lecture and lab that goes with it.

Here is an example of three linked courses.

• You only enter one 4-digit course code number to get the other two courses.
