For students, staff, and faculty members who
DO NOT remember their CUNY Portal / Blackboard username or password, you can access the CUNY system directly through the
Validate CUNY Affiliation page.
You will be brought to a page where you will have to type in the following information:
- Last Name
- Social Security Number
- Date of Birth
After completing the form click the Next button. You should be brought to a page that should display Your CUNY Portal Username and Your Portal Email Address (this is where a new password will be issued when you request one).
NOTE: For those who need to access Blackboard you can select the appropriate link to the right of Queensborough Community College. You can also scroll down and click Exit on the left to return you to the Queensborough web site whereby you can follow instructions on obtaining your password.
NOTE: If you want to sign up for CUNY A!ert, your username for the Portal is the same username for Blackboard.
If you still have a problem accessing Blackboard or the CUNY Portal, do the following:

Blackboard FAQs page for further assistance if you should have problems getting your username.
Only after checking the FAQs page and ensuring you are filling out the information requested of you from above, should you do the following:
- Send an email to BBSupport@qcc.cuny.edu
- Include in your email the following:
- Your First Name
- Your Last Name
- Your Date of Birth
- An email address
- Once you click submit, someone from Blackboard Support at Queensborough will get back to you.
