I can't remember my password. What do I do?

If you forgot your password, the steps below will walk you through creating or requesting a new password.

1. Go to the CUNY Portal Login page

2. Click on the Forgot your Username or Password? link
   

3. You have two options. Option 1 is to use the Account & Password Reset link (steps 4-8). Option 2 is to use the e-Mail a new Password link (steps 9-12).
   

4. Within the Account & Password Reset, click here (see red arrow above) to re-validate your account.

5. Complete the information on the User Validation page & click Next
   

6. Click Confirm on the User Validation confirmation page
   

7. The page will display your VALID CUNY portal username and provide you with an area to enter a NEW password. The system remembers your last 6 passwords. Once you have entered and confirmed your NEW password, click Save
   

8. If you entered a password not already in the system for your account you will have successfully changed your password. If you tried to use an existing password for your account, you will need to do these steps again.
   

9. If you want to have your new password emailed to you, click the link within the e-Mail a new Password area
   

10. You will then need to enter your VALID CUNY Portal username
    
    and click Email Password

11. Your new password will be sent to the email address affiliated with your VALID CUNY Portal username.
    
12. Check your email account.
