How do I change my password?

In order to change your Blackboard/CUNY Portal password you need to log-in to the CUNY Portal first, https://portal.cuny.edu/portal/site/cuny/index.jsp?epi-content=LOGIN

1. After you log-in, look to the lower left of the page below the CUNY eMall. You will see a Welcome message which contains a link below called My Profile (see red arrow).
   

2. You will come to the User Profile screen. Click on the Modify button to start making your changes.
   

3. Now that you have hit the Modify button, please scroll down the screen to the Change your Password area. Type in your old password (the 9 or 10 numbers CUNY sent you or whatever you had), type in your new password and re-type in your new password to confirm it. Please be advised that the CUNY system remembers the last 5 passwords you use.
   

4. After you enter your passwords click the Save button.

5. Congratulations! You have just successfully changed the password to your Blackboard / CUNY Portal account.
