Coherent high power Q-switched, mode-locked Nd:YAG laser, capable of 35 W CW output at 1.064 um. This laser also contains a frequency doubling crystal. Used for students to gain hands-on experience with high-powered lasers and to study Q-switching and mode-locking. With appropriate mirrors, this laser is capable of operation at approximately 1310 nm. Equipped in this way, these lasers are used at the head-end of cable TV systems operating over optical fiber.
