Imagine Your Future in
**Laser & Fiber Optics Engineering Technology**
Our program in Lasers and Fiber Optics Engineering Technology (LFOET) is one of only a handful of programs of its kind in the United States and is accredited by TAC of ABET*. Additional information on TAC of ABET can be found at ABET, Inc. 111 Market Place, Suite 1050, Baltimore, MD 21202, telephone 410-347-7700 and at www.abet.org. Lasers and fiber optics are vital components of life at home and in the workplace, and their importance will only increase in the future.
Fiber optics form the backbone of:
- the Internet;
- the World-Wide Web;
- telephone systems worldwide.
Lasers are used in:
- medicine;
- construction;
- manufacturing;
- data-processing;
- printing and graphics;
- inventory control;
- scientific and academic applications.
As the number of optical systems and components at the home and workplace increases, so does demand for people who know how to build, install, test, and repair them.
