The Outstanding Service Award for 2005 will be presented to Professor David N. Rahni at the New York Sectionwide Meeting in January 21, 2006 at Pace University where he is Professor.

The committee consisted of 5 previous year's awardees:

Professor Yorke E. Rhodes, Chair
Dr. Richard Goodman
Mrs. Jean Delfiner
Mrs. Joan Laredo-Liddell
Professor Lesley Davenport
Professor Robert Beer

Dr. Goodman will become Chair for 2006.

Professor Rhodes goes off the committee and Professor Rahni is added  to the committee.

The committee proposed a revision to the general rules guiding the committee which were adopted by the Board of the NY Section of the ACS in June, 2005. A copy us attached.

Basically, the committee is expanded from four members to five to avoid ties, and dates were moved earlier by one month.  More nominations are needed in the future.
