CNC Facilities
The Manufacturing Processes and Systems Laboratory
Computer-Assisted Manufacturing (CAM) is becoming the industry standard as computer control of machining and manufacturing operations expands. CAM is made possible through the use of CNC (computer numerical control) machine tools. The CNC machining centers in the Department's Manufacturing Processes Laboratory give students the opportunity to learn how to program and operate these "factory of the future" tools. Combined with traditional and manual machining processes, the students receive a well rounded training program utilizing the equipment and facilities of the Manufacturing Processes Lab.
