CERTIFICATE PROGRAM
This certificate Program in CAD Architecture is the only one of it’s kind within the City University of New York (CUNY). It provides general education along with industry-specific instruction, including training in cutting-edge architectural hardware and software with animation and 3D capabilities. The program teaches theory and practice of residential and commercial architectural design; how to master the leading technology in modern architecture (Architectural Desktop and AutoCAD 3D StudioVIZ); CAD hardware and AutoCAD software; as well as managing CAD files on a shared network system. Because this state-of-the-art technology dramatically enhances and affects the way architectural designers carry out projects, those who are proficient in its applications have a far more competitive edge in today’s modern design workplace. Students who complete the program can move seamlessly into the College’s Associate Degree Program in Computerized Architectural and Industrial Design. From there graduates may chose to continue their collegiate studies at one of the area’s baccalaureate degree granting institutions.
