What Antivirus Software is Free for me to use?
Symantec (Norton) Antivirus versions are available for free download and use on your computer.

The CUNY eMall which is inside the CUNY Portal.
How do I get in?
You need a CUNY Portal username and password. If you don't have a CUNY Portal username and password, follow the instructions on the Need an Account? page. If your not sure of your account, forgot either your username and/or password, then follow the instructions on the Forgot your Username? or Forgot your Password? pages. The pages are available under Quick Links --> Blackboard from the blue menu at the top.
What if I know my CUNY Portal information? How do I get my free copy of software?
Easy, follow the steps below and the software can be yours in no time.
Step 1: Go to the CUNY Poral web site and click Log-in (lower left in blue)
Step 2: Log-in to the CUNY Portal
Step 3: Click on the CUNY emall icon which appears on the left-hand orange menu
Step 4: From the CUNY emall, click on SOFTWARE CENTER
Step 5: Click on the greenish SOFTWARE button
Step 6: Scroll down the page and click on Symantec Antivirus 10. Select the version you wish to install on your computer.
Step 7: After you make your selection, you now have to add it to your shopping cart. Click the ADD TO CART button.
Step 8: You will be brought to your shopping cart. Notice the price is Free!. Click on Check Out to complete your "purchase"
Step 9: You will receive your Purchase Receipt. From here you will click on the Download Only link and your computer will begin the download process. Remember where the file is being downloaded so that you can install it later.
Step 10: Once the download is complete, you can log-out of the CUNY Portal and exit your browser. Recall where you downloaded the file. Run the Symantec Antivirus install file you downloaded and follow the instructions on the screen.
