Your college makes every effort to offer you the latest in innovations which can provide you with important and needed information. To that end we would like to tell you about a new website for college students. We have yet to see a website of this caliber devoted to meeting the needs of college students and we are particularly impressed with the quality of the “Career Exploration” component of the site. We urge you to take the time to explore the many resources that the site offers.

As a member of Hispanic Educational Telecommunications Systems (HETS), the Queensborough student population has access to information including tools that can help you search for four-year colleges and graduate schools, distance learning opportunities, and programs for international students. You can access numerous online preparatory test reviews including timed preparatory tests, such as the GRE, GMAT, and TOEFL. There are entire e-Books available on-line that can save you time and money and ways to plan your college finances including a customized list of scholarships. Best of all there is a way to save all your work so you can come back to it again and again.

Once you are there look in the middle of the page under the heading, "Student Placita" for "Career Exploration" and click on it. You will need to register. Indicate Queensborough Community College as the “Name of the Institution,” and select student for “Institutional Role”. Click "Continue" at the bottom.

At the next screen, scroll down through the list of colleges and universities and again select Queensborough Community College. You will enter the case sensitive password: queens1227 and then click on "Proceed."

You have now completed your registration and should be at the webpage which enables you to explore the various areas of information available to you: College Search, Graduate Search, Specialty& Career Program Search, Test Preparation, e-Books Quick Link, and Personalized Toolbox.

HETS has created an extremely powerful and innovative career and college planning tool.
