The faculty of the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures considers its program as an important part of Queensborough Community College’s global outreach in an era when academia, government, and business have an increasingly international character. Moreover, the cultural and linguistic diversity of the members of our department brings to the classroom important elements of multi-culturalism, which enrich the learning environment and encourage students to learn about other cultures

Our faculty members are highly experienced and qualified. Currently there are twelve full-time faculty members, and an average of twenty-five part-time faculty members. They have a wide variety of academic backgrounds, and are thoroughly dedicated to teaching. In accordance with the Mission of the College, the faculty’s primary responsibility and commitment is to teach courses that range from elementary through advanced language and literature courses.
