Dr. Martin Jacobs

Degrees: B.A., Brooklyn College; M.A., Ph.D., Yeshiva University

Counseling Interests: Personal and career counseling; transferring to senior colleges; personal and family conflict.

Counseling Approach: Counseling is most effective when it combines the energies of both student and counselor in seeking common goals of advancing the student's academic and personal growth with positive change. Students are given choices based on information they acquire and are encouraged to move forward on their own. The counselor is always open to student's ideas, opinions and feelings in the free exchange of the counseling session.

License: Licensed New York State Psychologist.

Publications/Research Interests: Effects of divorce and separation on children.
